Summary
The Lindsey Line lateral serves the Cruzen Mountain View Irrigation Association from the Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District (Ridenbaugh Canal). Between the box at 2437 N Curtis Rd and the box and manhole on Northview St the lateral runs in a buried pipe.
Roots from a large willow tree on 2411 N Curtis Rd (Ada County parcel R7701000040; not a member of the association) have grown into that pipe. Pipe-camera video from July 31, 2025 shows the pipe nearly blocked; a cutting attempt that day failed because the roots were too thick.
One year later the blockage is worse. Water backs up and discharges into the street through the Northview manhole cover even when the head gate (the Hilton Box) is throttled to a 0.6 gauge reading; at normal delivery (1.6 to 2.0) the manhole cover nearly floats. This is the split/volume going to the Mountain View side with the Hilton box at 1.6
This is the split/volume heading down the main line to the Northview manhole cover. Again, this is Hilton box delivering 1.6
Hilton box is measuring 1.6 and the Lynnwood box is doing its 40/60 split with most of the water heading down the Mountain View lateral and we’re still bubbling at the manhole cover. Tomorrow morning, Sunday, when 100% goes down the Main lateral that manhole cover is going to float!

This video shows the split from the main line over to the Mountain View lateral with the Hilton box delivering 1.6 on the water volume. The piece of wood is on the main line side to minimize as much water as possible because even at this 1.6 from Hilton box we are still flooding the street through the manhole cover. Tomorrow, Sunday, when they pull the gate here and send 100% down the main line the manhole cover is going to float!

It’s Sunday evening 730pm and Hilton boxes is at 2.0. Lubkin box was split to help alleviate flooding on Northview manhole cover. But the back up at BJ’s places is getting to overflow that box so letting the water go from Lubkin
Hilton box water volume is at 0.6! Even with hardly any water in the system we’re still flooding the streets!
